Privacy Policy

SlayArcade (slayarcade.com) is a free browser games website. You do not need an account to play. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the site, why, and the choices you have.

1. Information stored on your device

Your favorites, personal bests, recent games, daily puzzle progress, streaks, settings (sound, theme) and saved game boards are stored in your browser’s local storage. This data stays on your device; we do not receive it unless you submit a score to a leaderboard. Party games such as Mr. White also save player names and table settings on your device only.

2. Nickname and weekly leaderboards

On your first visit you may choose a public nickname. To submit scores to weekly leaderboards, your browser stores a random player ID, a private credential and a signed token. Your nickname, an opaque player ID, score, time and rank are public. Leaderboard runs expire about seven days after their competition ends; inactive player profiles expire after about one year. Please do not use your real name or other personal information as a nickname.

Our leaderboard service runs on Cloudflare. IP addresses may be used briefly for rate limiting and abuse prevention and may appear in provider logs; they are never shown publicly.

So that each browser holds one place per leaderboard, a submitted score also carries a one-way hash of basic device details (screen size, pixel ratio, colour depth, processor count, touch support, time zone and platform) and a random ID kept in your browser's local storage. The leaderboard service combines it with the network the score came from and stores only a further one-way hash, which cannot be turned back into those details or your IP address. It is never shown publicly and is deleted with the leaderboard.

3. Advertising (Google AdSense)

SlayArcade is free because it is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
  • Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services: How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps.
  • Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before any analytics or advertising cookies are used; until then they stay off. You can accept, reject or choose per category, and change your choice at any time with the “Privacy settings” link at the bottom of every page. Where ads are shown to these visitors, consent is collected through a Google-certified consent management platform.

Product analytics (Mixpanel)

We also use Mixpanel to understand how people arrive and play: the page you landed on, campaign tags and referring site, which games you start, how long a session lasts, and levels reached or retried. If you chose a leaderboard nickname, your Mixpanel profile holds that public nickname (not your real name), the opaque player id used on the leaderboards, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and time zone, and an approximate location (country, region, city) that Mixpanel derives from your IP address. Visitors without a nickname have the same profile without a name. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland this only runs after you consent, and you can withdraw through Privacy settings, which stops it and clears the identifier.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages and games are visited, which games are started and finished, scores, session length, approximate location (country/city), device and browser. This helps us improve games and fix problems. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers; IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only used after you consent. You can opt out at any time with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies

We do not set our own tracking cookies; game data uses local storage. Analytics, advertising and measurement cookies may be set by Google and its partners as described above. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to control cookies in your browser.

5. Server and hosting logs

Like any website, the servers that deliver SlayArcade (hosted on Cloudflare) process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps to deliver the site securely and reliably. These logs are retained only for a limited period.

6. Children’s privacy

SlayArcade is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Gameplay does not require any personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information (for example, in a nickname), contact us and we will remove it.

7. Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your browser’s site-data settings. To exercise other rights, email support@slayarcade.com. We do not sell personal information for money. Legal bases for processing include consent (personalized ads) and legitimate interests (security, keeping the site running, leaderboards you choose to join).

8. International transfers

Our providers (Cloudflare, Google) may process data in countries other than yours, using safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version.

YOUR SLAYARCADE PLAYER

What should we call you?

One name for every game. Competitive games, the ones marked with a trophy, put you on their weekly leaderboard automatically when you finish a run.

You can change your name anytime. Your player ID and scores stay the same on this browser. Use a nickname, not your full name.
