A little about the game
Meet Carrom
A warm wooden board, crisp coin collisions and shots worth lining up. Play the computer or pass the device for a two-player carrom match.
How to play Carrom
White plays first. Move the striker along your baseline with the slider under the board. Then drag back from anywhere on the board and let go: the striker shoots the opposite way, in any direction (even back toward the rails for bank shots), and harder the further you pull. Let go close to where you started to cancel. On a keyboard, A and D slide the striker, Left and Right turn the aim, and holding Space builds power until you let go. Pocket your colour to keep your turn. The red queen goes last: once all nine of your coins are down, pocket the queen to win. Pocket it any earlier and it goes back to the centre and your turn ends. Pocketing the striker returns one of your coins and ends your turn.
A tip for your next run
Leave the queen alone until your coins are down, and try to keep it near a pocket for your final shot. A short pull gives a soft, accurate shot.
How do you play carrom online?
In Carrom you slide the striker along your baseline, then pull back and let go to shoot. Pocket a coin of your colour to keep your turn. Once all nine of your coins are down, pocket the red queen to win. Play the computer or pass the device to a friend, free in your browser.
What happens if you pocket the striker in Carrom?
Pocketing the striker is a foul in Carrom: one of your pocketed coins goes back on the board and your turn ends. Pocketing the queen before all nine of your coins are down also ends your turn, and the queen returns to the centre.
