A little about the game

Meet Basketball Hoops

Flick the ball up and sink as many baskets as you can in 60 seconds. Swishes and hot streaks multiply your points, and the hoop starts to slide as you heat up.

How to play Basketball Hoops

Drag up from the ball and let go to shoot: the direction of the stroke aims, and its length and speed set the power, so both have to be about right. Too soft falls short, too hard flies long or off the top of the board, and a tap does nothing. While you drag, a short dotted line shows the direction and how hard you are throwing; it does not show where the ball will land. On a keyboard, aim with ← and → (↑ straightens up), then hold Space: the power meter beside the ball rises and falls, and letting go at the middle mark gives the right strength. The 60-second clock starts with your first shot, and a ball in the air at the buzzer still counts. A basket scores 10 and a clean swish 15; three in a row doubles every basket, six triples it and ten makes it ×4, and a miss resets the streak. After a few baskets the shooting spot starts to move, then the hoop slides from side to side, faster at each level.

A tip for your next run

Smooth, medium-strength strokes drop cleanest. Lead a sliding hoop: aim where it will be about a second from now, not where it is.

How do you shoot in Basketball Hoops?

Drag up from the ball and let go. The direction of the stroke aims the shot and its length and speed set the power, so both have to be about right; a tap does nothing. On a keyboard, aim with the left and right arrow keys, hold Space and let go when the power meter reaches the middle mark.

How long is a round of Basketball Hoops?

Each round lasts 60 seconds, and the clock starts with your first shot. A ball released before the buzzer still counts if it goes in.

How do you get a high score in Basketball Hoops?

Keep the streak alive: three baskets in a row double every basket, six triple it and ten make it four times. A swish scores 15 instead of 10, and once the hoop slides, aim where it will be when the ball arrives.
